The Outpost offers 12 free-standing suites with 180° uninterrupted views of the Luvuvhu River and baobab-studded landscape. Each suite is open on three sides, with roller blinds for privacy and no air conditioning-guests experience the natural breeze and sounds of the bush. Room 12, a honeymoon space, provides wraparound views from the bed, bath, and lounger.

Dining

The restaurant at Outpost Lodge serves African, French, American, Moroccan, local, international, and South African cuisines, with brunch, dinner, and high tea. Breakfast includes local specialties, warm dishes, and fresh pastries, while special diet menus are available on request. Guests can also order wine or champagne from the bar and enjoy a private boma dinner under the stars.

Game Drives & Activities

The Outpost Lodge includes two daily game drives in the package, led by expert guides who share knowledge of birds, trees, and nocturnal animals. A Sound Safari uses long-range microphones and headphones to reveal wildlife communication, and walking tours explore the fever tree forest and baobab groves. Hiking trails and tours about local culture are also available, with binoculars recommended for distant sightings.

Wellness & Spa

The Outpost's on-site spa offers back, couples, foot, full body, hand, head, neck, and massage treatments, plus open-air baths and spa/wellness packages. The rooftop swimming pool with a pool bar has panoramic views over the river valley, and sun loungers and umbrellas are provided. Guests can book massages in a treatment room overlooking the mopani and baobab landscape.

The Outpost Kruger sits within the malaria-free Makuleke Contractual Park, granting exclusive access to the remote northern section of Kruger National Park. The property is 10 km from Pafuri Gate and overlooks the Luvuvhu River, with views of Crooks Corner, the fever tree forest, and Lanner Gorge. World-class birding opportunities and elephant herds, zebras, and antelope are common sightings, while lions are rare in this area.
